Frequency of Blood Glucose Monitoring
Based on American Diabetes Association, Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India, and International guidelines, diabetics should follow the following frequency to monitor blood glucose levels:
- On tablets: Few times per week (e.g., 2–4 times/week)
- On insulin: Daily or multiple times/day
- Newly diagnosed / uncontrolled: More frequent testing
- Stable patients: Once or twice per week may be sufficient
